The CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) test is made up of 45 questions covering five core knowledge areas:

  • legal and management
  • health and welfare
  • general safety
  • high risk activities
  • Environment

You will have 70 minutes to answer the 45 questions. The test now includes new question styles and behavioral case studies to test and check your understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental issues and how to behave safely on-site.

The pass  mark for this exam is 36/45 and you are given a score sheet once you have finished that will give you your results

This exam is taken at your nearest Pearson’s testing center [where you take a driving theory test]

On the day of the exam

Make sure you do the following:

  • Arrive at least 15 minutes before your test starts
  • Bring your confirmation booking email or letter
  • Bring ID that includes your photo and signature
  • If you do not have a suitable form of ID, you will need to fill in the Identification Waiver Form
  • After your exam, you must keep your Score Report safe as it has important information on it relating to your card application
  • You maybe required to bring and wear a face mask while at the test center and whilst taking your exam.
